I'm not a band really. I am interested in getting some original songs out there that our band isn't currently playing
Why this name?
My mom and dad chose it. I like it.
Do you play live?
Yes. Our band is called High Plains Tradition. I perform with four other guys that I love like brothers. Mostly at festivals from the mid west to the south west.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I never liked the politics in the industry. I think that the internet is a way for indipendant artists to get their music heard
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably not. All the guys in the band have current careers
Your influences?
Bluegrass of all types, from traditional to newgrass, and everything in between
Equipment used:
On these recordings I use a computer based studio with a Tascam US-122, AKG414,and a AudixSC-X25. The instruments are, Martin D-16 guitar, 1955 Kay string bass, Epiphone archtop banjo, the fiddle and the mandolin are instruments that I built.
