Singer, songwriter and musician. I've been playing for over 35 years with mostly a family band made up of my three brothers. Early on our sister also played with us.
Why this name?
The artists name.
Do you play live?
I currenty play live with a local band called the Cruisers down at the local pubs. We play all kinds of music but mostly for dancing.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
mp3 opens up music to everyone. The ability to share your music with a large audience was not possible a few years ago.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I don't think I would. I enjoy having all the creative control. Besides - I'm getting too old to tour on a steady basis.
Band History:
The Cruisers have been together for about 3 years now. As I said earlier, I have been writing and performing for many many years.
Your influences?
Alan Jackson, Buck Owens, The Beatles, John Lennon, McBride & The Ride, Doug Kershaw, Flash Cadillac and the Continental Kids
Favorite spot?
Any place where I can play music and have people listen.
Equipment used:
I record with a pc based system (firepod, eureka mic pres, TC powercore) and i have a large collection of musical instruments (mandolin, steel guitar, acoustic guitar, Fender Tele, Strat and Jazz bass, Roland 300SX piano, Yamaha DX7)
Anything else...?
I mostly write and record music for my own creative outlet. The chance to share them is a bonus. Hope you enjoy.
