I'm a singer/songwriter who covers primarily the genre's of Country,Americana,Rock,Southern Rock in my songs. I've been playing open-mics and a few select shows for the past 20 years.Due largely to family obligations though I was never able to devote the time and effort towards achieving a life long dream. That is until now,I hope to create a place where I can win both fans and contacts in order to achieve the goals I have. On this page I will posts my successes as well as my rejections. So join me while I launch my music carreer.Hopefully in the end I'll have made friends both personal and professional and we can all sit back one day and say remember when.

Peace Out
Steve
Why this name?
Because Steve Earle was already taken(lol) seriously though who else would I be. The music buisness already has bunches of cookie cutter artists. I a big believer in that when it comes to an artists image and how they want thier fans to percieve them, that it's important to be honest and true to yourself because that's one of the ways an artist are reconized by fans or at the very least appreaciated for what they do. I just wasted alot of words to basically say "Fans can smell a phony".
Do you play live?
Not as much as I should these days, but when I do it's useally around here. The surprising thing is yeah I actually do enjoy playing live espeacially if it's with someone I gel musically with because then it's just out right fun. One of the most memorable moments would half to be one of my earliest. When I got out of Highschool I was in a short lived Rock band Called REDALERT and one of the first gigs I ever did as a performer was at a local highschool. We did a morning show and a afternoon show. It was basically two 45 min. Sets only it was the same set list. The school had lunch in between the sets and we were invited to eat with them. I decided to go and get a feel of how the first set went and was immeadiately flagged down by the schools speacial needs teacher. She said the kids enjoyed the show and wanted to say thank you. I looked over and saw wheelchairs, braces of all kinds, there were speech impedements, various disorders. Most importantly though what I saw were kids just like me. I spent the entire 45 min. with those guys and gals and it was the most rewarding 45min. of the day. Because what I saw was kids that really got it. They were trully happy and glad I was there and seeing them has been a huge factor in me being the man I am today. It has kept me grounded and allowed me to enjoy the resty of this ride I call my life.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Wow!As a song writer I guess it has been both a curse and blessing. On one hand you have more ears other than just an exec. The down side is it has created a forest of information that often hides the less scrupulous of us. This is a real hard question to answer mainly because realistically the whole computer/internet thing is still in it's infancy.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
