AREA-52 is a Sci-Fi-Industrial band in development and is being aimed to make its debut in the music industry sometime in 2010. So far AREA-52 only consists of 1 person "J." who plans to find or hire live members in the future when AREA-52 is officially up and running.
Why this name?
I came up with the band name AREA-52 by simply playing a multiplayer level named AREA-52 in the Nintendo 64 hit "Perfect Dark". I'm a huge Goldeneye/Perfect Dark fan, and the name fits with everything I want to do in AREA-52 which is make music about Secret Agents, Aliens, Chemical Facilities, lots of cool stuff like that and the name "AREA-52" perfectly labels it all with ease.
Do you play live?
AREA-52 hasn't performed live yet, but plans that will give fans the most spectacular show possible. AREA-52 style.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The Internet is a GREAT tool to get new artists out there. Now these days you can self produce your tunes and get them out there without the need for a record deal.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely! With the type of plans i have for my "Top Secret Operation" there's no way i can make it a reality without the aid from a major record label.
Your influences?
the industrial secret agent themed Perfect Dark and Goldeneye for N64, Nine Inch Nails, DEADSY, Gary Numan, the film Saw.
