Why this name?
Basically, out of my name. My initials spell out "J.E.M." and it's pronounced gem. And a gem, is a jewel, and it just came from there.
Do you play live?
I haven't played any songs live yet, except when my friends ask me to spit a verse from one of my songs. Other than that, nothing major.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It helps you get ya name out there, ya know? It's so much easier than startin' from the block. Basically, all you need is a mic, software, a beat, and a myspace page.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If it's a well known label, then yeah. Like Bad Boy, Interscope, Young Money/Cash Money, etc.
Band History:
Been rappin' since 9th grade, and started recordin' in 10th grade. Its been all good from there.
Your influences?
Basically any rap artist I listen to. ESPECIALLY Tupac.
Favorite spot?
Anywhere with my best friend.
Equipment used:
A simple mic, and headphones. I'll be getting a new mic soon, expect better music.
