Why this name?
The band name Mr. HeatRock came from Dj Xa's recording studio (HeatRock Recording Studio LLC).
Do you play live?
I perform in all atmosphers and environments. Currently, I perform in Twentynine Palms, California; and San Diego, California. I have performed in Okinawa, Japan; the Phillipines and Thialand.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has become an important tool within the music industry. It has obviously hurt cd sales for some artists, but for others it has made them successful. If you are not using the many resources via internet than you are light years behind...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would if it is signing my indie label, but not my first choice.
Your influences?
Chingy, Lil Jon, Michael Jackson, Ludacris, Trina, and all artists that I have worked with and currently work with. Bounce music, crunk music, rock bands, Timbaland etc....
