I began my love with making music by creating cut-ups of music and vocal snippets recorded on audio tape. My musical tastes at that time were hip-hop and the soundtracks to the Commodore 64 computer games I was playing and trading. Later I progressed to the guitar spending years recording with friends or in bands onto 4-track cassettes. As soon as I got my first PC I began to realise the music I could hear in my head using audio and midi. Since then I have been in several bands but always kept up what I call "my stuff". The styles of music I write and produce are eclectic, often taking inspiration for the genre of music I am listening to at the time. I'm looking forward to using Soundclick to complement my Myspace site.
Why this name?
It really was one of those flashes of inspiration after a few too many cups of strong espresso and a few "ethnic" smokes.
Do you play live?
I've played live several places in Bergen, Norway over the last few years like Teatergarasjen, Kamelon and Innside. In London the Betsy Trotswood gig with my band "Sense" in 2006 was a memorable one.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Yes - as Nine Inch Nails said about their internet-only release of "Ghosts", the ability to shift music as bits, over the internet, gives you the ability to release projects to fringe-interest groups and the freedom to publicise music which would never see the light of day, even on an independant label.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course. :)
