One of the original members of Inner City Hoodlumz, K Smooth brings to you his solo debut, "Mr. Mercenary Smooth One", which was released under the Smoothly Dun/Lethal Heat venture. He has been writing, performing, and down right snapping for 18 years without a record deal, and if you know anything about I.C.H, then you know that these brothers always come with that heat, Lethal Heat that is. K Smooth is one of them brothers that is showing the world that he should get his recognition.
Why this name?
"K Smooth was originally Killa Smooth, but the girls and my few fans at that time liked K Smooth better because I use to say it in my rhymes, so I kept it K Smooth and it really stuck to my personality".
Do you play live?
"I love to get on stage and twist up the house". One special moment I had is when I put my video on the internet and actually got some good reviews.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
"The internet changes things in a way that independent artist's can reach out to the whole world without the help of major labels. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeS0TNdd6lI
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
"Yes, only if they would stop trying to get over and be fair".
Band History:
"I started rapping at the age of 12, trying to find a unique sound and my own style. I'm a member of the rap group Inner City Hoodlumz with members Sliik D, Sekret, Getty Green, and J Bans(Lil Seville)". I.C.H started in 1991 and released a underground demo around their neighborhood in '92 entitled "Street Playaz" and then released a full lenth cd in 2001 entitled "Real Dirty", which you can find on www.cdbaby.com/ichood. "I released my first solo debut to the public in March '05, entitled "Mr. Mercenary Smooth One"".
