Matt Rawls is a singer/songwriter who grew up in the small town of Caldwell, TX. He writes about life growing up in the little town and pulls from every experience he's had through out life since leaving. He believes that in just about every song, there is someone who can relate to it. He has spent the last few years in Iraq, first as a Marine during the invasion, and continued working over there as security contractor. He has finally laid his guns to rest and is pursuing his life-long dream of music. Joining him in his latest venture are the members of Counterfeit. Keith Shahan plays bass guitar. Keith is a founding member of popular rockabilly band, Zombilly. Bo Boyd has played drums with Texas favorites Amy Hughes, Josh Fuller and the Pride of Texas, and a successful regional tour in L.A. with an alternative band. Brad Caudle is an experienced lead guitarist with a ton of musical knowledge that has been playing Houston clubs for years. The sound that Counterfeit produces comes from all influences of music, country, rock, blues, and believes that's what Texas Music is all about, a blend of all genres, unique as the state we love so dearly. The different backgrounds of the musicians made them come together for a perfect fit. Counterfeit gives just the opposite of their name, something original with endless value. The live shows that they put on have something for everyone and are a ride you'll never forget.
