-King Dub-
Why this name?
Originally I went by DDub. My friends said that I was doin big thangs and they said I should replace the D wit King. So, I did it. I go by King Dub, and Oklahoma respects it.
Do you play live?
I do play live. So if you want me to do shows holla at me. Special moment was when I walked up to my fiance' and rapped the song I was doin to her and made her blush. Lol, I love you babyl.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think that internet promoting has really changed the game. Now, you don't really have to look so much to hopefully having someone listen to a demo you send in. Now they can come to you, and it's much easier, but still hard, to be discovered.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Is this a real question. I want to sign with a label so bad. Oklahoma needs me to shine for em. I got what it takes to represent my state and open up the door for future MC's from Oklahoma.
Band History:
I have been writing and doing music since I was 10. I fell in love with it from the moment I started. When I first began writing music, people told me that I wasn't any good, and that I might as well give up. I have put in 12 years of determination and hard work. It has been a struggle the whole time. Music is something that moves me. It's the only thing besides God Himself that has the power to take control of me and move me. When I was 13, I was named the freestyle champ at my jr. highschool. I started people rapping around this time and built up a crew. By the time I was 16, I was doing shows every weekend and doin freestyle battles for fun. Now at the age of 22. I'm just ready to see something spectacular happen for me. I have been offered a deal with Slip N Slide through Slip N Slide On Da Grind and have also turned down a deal with Sonicwave International. I really work hard and im striving for perfection.
Your influences?
Big musical influence is Diddy. I like his energy in the studio. He's the type of hype man you need in order to get songs done when it's 2 in the morning and you just can't get it right. Lil Wayne has always been a great influence. So i'm talkin before he got tight like he is now with the dreads. I'm talkin Lights Out, 500 Degreez, and Tha Block Is Hot.
Favorite spot?
My favorite city is Oklahoma City. It's home, and I'm comfortable here. It keeps me on my toes and keeps my head on my mission. I love Oklahoma.
Equipment used:
I just use basic equipment. I have a computer microphone and Cool Edit Pro. I have nothing special, so it all just comes from the work I put into it and the outcome is always superb.
Anything else...?
Again, I just want you all to know that your presence on my page is very well appreciated. Soundclick is a very great network, and there is a lot of talented musicians on here. Some of you need more work and you know who you are, and I will continue to shape up everyday. God bless you all.
