It started with me and some friends back in 11th grade. We heard of some kids around school making music, and we thought it was pretty cool. We liked the music, so we thought we should try and see what we could do. It turned into a hobby, that turned into something I still love to do, and I continue to strive to get better, and see where I can take this dream.
Why this name?
Well I was in class back when I was a senior, and I went on one of those web sites trying to find a pimp name lol with one of my friends, and something had flow in it, and we thought about rapping and flowing, and decided Nick Flow.
Do you play live?
I have 3 times at some of my friends small birthday parties and so on. I am going to be doing that again soon. I am hoping to book a show at a bigger more popular place asap and see what happens.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is a chance for people to hear your music easily. I did not even know so many people in my town do the same thing I do. The only negative thing is that everyone wants to do it now.. It used to be a select few of people, now everywhere you turn, someone is making music. I love that people are doing that and expressing themselves, and that I have to try even harder to stand out. I just do not like the people who mess around too much.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe one day, but I love just doing it for my city.
Band History:
It started out with a few friends, now it is down to two, but I am meeting a lot of new people who I am networking with. It is great!
Your influences?
Everyone from the south, struggles, past relationships.
Favorite spot?
Palm Bay, Orlando, my home city of Philly
Equipment used:
For now a crappy usb mic, and cool edit pro. My best friend has everything, like pro tools, mpc, a good mic, roland fantom, and so on, but he stay in SC so we gonna link up soon.
