Why this name?
It's a long story...
Do you play live?
DOGTUCKERMAN is a studio-based project. We've just finished the STALKER EP, which is winging its way to various record labels as I write, and we are now busy finishing a first album.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
That remains to be seen. Obviously piracy (utorrent, limewire, etc) must have had a big effect on sales. What's the answer? Lower the cost of CDs and up the production values (ie: better packaging). For new bands, the internet is a great (though crowded) way to get heard.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Let's face it - the dream is to make money from doing what we love, so yes. That said, I don't fantasize about superstardom or making the cover of Mojo (WIRE, maybe :-). I would like to be recognized though...
Band History:
It's taken about two months to put together enough tracks for the STALKER EP. Before that, we have released music under a different name for a small web-based record label.
