Whats up y'all?? My name is Brian, but you can call me a-noynt-ed. I have become recently into the Christian Rap game because of a few situations that turned me. It really does take a near death experience to inspire one with the presence of God. I try to keep a positive tone in my music with a good outlook on life, even though the world is not so good anymore. "Keeping your faith through it all will only help you come out strong" is a motto that I like to use because it is the truth. No matter where you are, and no matter what you have been through, keeping your faith will keep you going. Hope everyone enjoys my music...
Why this name?
I was evil at one point. The grace of God saved me so I changed my life and my style of music. I became to live a life like Christ and serve him no matter where I am. I chose A-nonyt-ed (Which is a different spelling of anointed) because that is what I have become.
Do you play live?
Not really. I just do it for fun.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Music distribution is a lot easier. No-name artists (Like myself) can get their stuff out there to people who are willing to hear it. They can distribute to others in their genre and maybe hook up with others with the same style.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No, not a major label, maybe a smaller label for Christian rap. Major labels make you sell your soul. I like keeping it original and with heart. I can't stand mainstream.
Band History:
I started in the game as a child. At 11 or 12, I started making dark, depressing, and all around violent music. My past was not one of beauty; it was not a golden love story. I had a rough childhood (As most of us do) and it influenced my music a lot. All my emotions, hate and depression mostly, went on paper and flowed into my music. At the age of 16, I gained popularity around a group of friends with my music and started recording with random songs that never made it anywhere but in the room while we were all kickin' it. We did what we loved, and we kept doing it until I turned around 18. I dropped out of the game at this point and started handling business in my life. I had not done anything in school. As I grew older, I got into trouble and I almost died doing it. However, I made it through with a few scars, but stronger than before. I realized the grace of Jesus Christ, and the beautiful energy of God. I felt as if I owed Him everything for saving me. I also met a few new people in high places and they got me back into it. Starting at 23 again, I decided to make Christian Rap and Positive Words, to share my story and to hopefully save another soul.
Your influences?
First off, my first influence is Jesus Christ himself, Tupac, Braille, KJ-52, T-bone, and any other Christian Rapper I did not mention.
