Cheers, Everyone!
I was born and raised in Germany and moved permanently to the U.S. in 1986. As a young guy (age 18) I've taught myself to play the guitar and soon expanded to other stringed instruments and the piano (well, keyboard!). I've been playing live gigs for years, then took a little break. Soon, I picked up composing and songwriting again. I've been around for music for over 30 years and it still remains one of my biggest passions in life.

Great track. We had a bright, full moon on a cold, clear night, so I dragged myself out to the deck and listened to your song on my headphones.
Perfect.

Wonderful Blues you´ve come up with. Great vocals and very cool "soft" guitar playing. The hammond brings the real "ol´blues" feeling over it.
Mike and Mack. Great collab work !
Take care

Mike and Mack,
what a great soothing experience I have listening to your wonderful bluesy tune. It´s like, well, going south!
Excellent guitars, LOVE the hammond, the steady beat and bass.
OUTSTANDING VOCALS! Wow. This is just great!
WELL ON THE VERGE OF BREAKING DOWN.... that´s what we all are at times and this truth, no matter how often you hear it, will remain true!
Very cool key change, the whole thing to me is like
well, ging home!
Love it!
Congrats!
Ganz grosse Klasse, lieber Mike!

Music
A little Jazz tune, later to be vocalized by my friend Mack Sanders!
Gina & Rick Kresiak: Vocals, Lyrics, Lead MIke Kohlgraf: arrangement and all other instruments
Mack Sanders - Lyrics and guitar lead Mike Kohlgraf - Guitar lead & arrangement A song about the way I feel these days and Mack picked up on that so well, I am amazed! Thank you, Mack!!!
Just in one of those moods... whatever you say... I don't care!
Just a silly little Bluesy thingy!
This really is an alternative Ragtime tune, but there is no such Genre here on SC! Bummer!!!
IT is what it is! That's what One of my friends once said!
Fred, my neighbor on Trombone, Ladies and Gentlemen!
Got mad because my father hasn't been doing well at all ... this is normally NOT my kinds of music, but it seems as though that my getting MAD helped. He's doing well now!
A bit of Dire Strait feel? You tell me! I had fun doing it , though.
Just having fun!
Thanks to Maria Daines and her incredible vocals and Jim Miller for his awesome Sax work on this tune!
Having a little fun here ... nothing special!
My friend Rick playing lead guitar on this tune of mine!
Thanks for Rick adding his awesome guitar to this tune of mine!
Just found the right tone for my guitar with this tune, originally recorded with a classic guitar!
Kephas and I trading lead on a tune that I produced ... all instrument, except Kephas' lead by me.
Kephas added some great lead guitar to this piece!
Rick Kresiak on lead guitar, bringing my music to life!
Cruising down the musical highway.
The title says it all!!
About as smooth as it gets. Thanks to Christopher Martin Hansen
This is a song I wrote about my horse Robin, who was killed by lightning in a thunderstorm some 25 years ago.
Thanks to Lisa Miller for lending her incredible vocals, Jim Miller and his awesome saxophones as well as Christopher Marting Hansen for
I played dirty, Chris played clean. Two guitars crying the Blues.
A dreamy Latin/Jazz tune... it's Midnight - almost time to go home...
Inspired by some bad storms with Tornados hitting our city. (Work in progress)
A 'smooth' Rock tune. Thanks to Christopher Martin Hansen for adding some of his incredible guitar (acoustic and clean electric solos) to this tune. I play the rest of the arrangement and the distorted guitar solo in the middle.
Imagine, wondering aimlessly around, looking to lay down your head somewhere.
Just a little smoothie for you lovers out there :)
A song I wrote for a friend who at the time was feeling down. She decided to perform the lyrics. Great vocals!
Dedicated to and in memory of our friend and colleague John George (R.I.P December 12, 2007)
Vocals: Maria Daines
Saxophones: Jim Miller
Lyrics & All Other: Mike Kohlgraf
Produced by Mike Kohlgraf
Purely incidental piece. Just jamming and all the sudden! :o) And yes - the e-guitar is live!
This was created in joy of seeing my father again after many years away from my original home!
Dreamy little tune... wake up already! You're safe!
Revised version.., very moody piece with a bit of a lullaby, yet dramatic feel to it.
Hope, you enjoy this newer version of the original "Mystique".
Ambient with a classical intermission tune. Re-mastered sound 12-32-2003. Hope you like it! :o)
Interlude between a jazzy piano and a and spanish guitar ...
Enjoy being out of control the smooth way!
A vocalized version is available on The SoundClique page @ www.soundclick.com/thesoundclique - a band that we created. The vocals were written and performed by Billy Wilcosky. More info on The SoundClique page.
I appreciate Michael adding some great classical guitar to this jazzy tune!!!
A somewhat mysterious, ambient song with a somewhat uplifting center section. Hope, you'll enjoy it.
This is the 3rd version of my instrumental "Dreaming". This song was performed by a band we created, called The SoundClique. Rey Varela wrote the lyrics, performed the vocals and played acoustig bass. Thomas Dobson plays the slide-guitar.
Something out of the Middle Ages
Well - after putting down this instrumental track, my good friend Sharma @ www.soundclick.com/sharma, put the vocals to this tune. I wrote the lyrics and she "adjusted" them slightly. The vocalized version is called "Another Day".
Why this name?
It's got something to do with my name :)
Do you play live?
Not anymore. I consider myself a studio musician these days.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's an opportunity to get your music heard by a broad audience without great expense of promoting yourself.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Undecided... Talk to me :)
Band History:
Your influences?
Yanni, Jean Paul Jarre, Rippingtons, Kraftwerk (believe it or not), various Jazz, Rock, Blues and Classical artists.
Favorite spot?
Favorite spot would be with my music equipment (second to my wife, of course).
Equipment used:
Various Acoustic, Classical and Electrical guitars, a couple of keyboards, expensive music software, BOSS BR1600, BOSS GT-8 and a few other toys.
Anything else...?
I love music, I love life. And no matter what age you are, you are only as old as you feel - so, feel young all your life! - And don't forget: art is in the eye of the beholder! :o) I also DJ on Mixposure.com ... check it out some time.
