What's good? Rhapzadist. 978 completely. Unsigned artist tryin to perfect the art. Any comments and/or criticism is welcomed. Lemme know.
Why this name?
rhapsodist |?(h)røps?d?st| noun 1 a person who rhapsodizes. 2 another term for rhapsode
rhapsode |?(h)røp?so?d| noun a person who recites epic poems, esp. one of a group in ancient Greece whose profession it was to recite the Homeric poems from memory.

uhhh... I'll let Oxford define my name for you.
Do you play live?
Yeah I'd like to start doing live shows, haven't yet.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Haha it stops letting people who could care less about artistic integrity capitalize on gimmicks and manufactured, marketable images. Nah, I dunno, it gives any artist out there the chance for his work to reach the right people, given he play it right. However, it also gives artist with little to no talent a chance to flood the gates. Double edged sword.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Uhhh, yeah. I'm receptive to the idea but they'd have to be on the progressive side of the business. They would have to be equally receptive to any ideas I may have.
Band History:
Been doing this since I was like 10-11 yrs. old. I've got a couple artists I got on my team that wanna come up as well, and I'm always trying to find new talent to collaborate. Keep your eye out for my dude Isaito a.k.a. Anon a.k.a Ron Mcdon, talented f***in beatmaker.
Your influences?
Wow. uhhhh first and foremost my peers, contemporaries, predecessors, and forerunners in this Hip Hop shit. Lupe Fiasco, Immortal Technique, Lil Wayne, Joell Ortiz, Saigon, Papoose, Eminem, Jay-z, Nas, Ras Kass, Canibus, UGK, Ludacris, Kanye West, Common, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, KRS-One, Royce da 5'9", Akir, Pharrell, Big L, Big Pun, Apathy, Termanology (978, what up?), Pack FM, Kidz In the Hall, Grandmaster Flash, Big Daddy Kane, Tribe Called Quest, Schoolly D, Slick Rick, the Roots, 2Pac, Joe Budden..... man I could go on with that shit. I also like sh*** like Beethoven, John Coltrane, Frank Sinatra, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, The Beatles, Rush, Yes, The Ramones, Queen, The Clash, Herbie Hancock, Johnny Cash, Tchaikovsky, John Legend, Smokey Robinson.... This is all off the top of my head I could just keep going.
Favorite spot?
I'm from 978... Methuen/Lawrence.... I'd have to say my favorite city is Boston.
Equipment used:
Whatever. I record wherever thebest place is available at the moment. I got a Zoom MRS 8 track recorder at my house with a Rode NT-1 mic... I use that mainly, I suck at mixing my sh*** so bare with me.
Anything else...?
yeah.... 978 on a Quest to put it on the Map.....Uhh shouts to Isaito, Coleman, Disturbed (Productions), all my dudes who got it, musically or not, putting the word out. My girl, my family, all my friends.
