Hi, my name is Jack Smith (yes, it's my real name)) welcome to my band page, I hope you like the songs I've posted here, I plan on adding more soon. Do you play live?

Yes I play in a cover band called Funkwire (www.funkwire.com) that plays around the Mpls/St Paul area (although we've travelled to Wi). You can check out our schedule in the blue box to the right. All the members sing, that's right we have a drummer that sings!!!! Along with the covers we play a few originals. Every moment in this band is special - well a lot of them anyway!!!!

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

It's great, I can hear music that I otherwise would have never heard. As well as share my music with others.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yeh right, like that's gonna happen?!?!

Band History:

The only relevant bands as far as this site goes are "The Hidden Persuaders" - an all original band that I was in for five plus years & my current band "Funkwire"

Your influences?

I was influenced by the early R&B leaning Rock & Roll type singers & groups of my youth & later the Beach Boys, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Steely Dan I'm running out of room!!!

Favorite spot?

Wherever I haven't been.
