Why this name?
Ymir was the first living being in Norse mythology. After the Gods killed him, they created the earth and sky out of his corpse.
Do you play live?
As of now, there is only one member of Ymir. As such live shows are not possible. I am currently searching for a band to play some shows with though.

Band History:
Formed in 1996 under the name FESTON, Injurious and YMIR, then calling himself Malice, recorded a demo, after some minor promotion decided to take on a new member. Samhein joined the band, and the name changed to DARK AMBIENT. Soon after Injurious left the band to persue other prodjects, Abadon joined the band, and the name changed once more, this time to THRULL. Ymir decided that the band was heading in a direction he wasn't happy with, so he left the band. Now recording his self titled debut album.
