From Topeka Kansas comes 8 Degrees a "rapcore" style band fusing rap with the harsh sounds of heavy guitars, funky bass, tribal hip hop beats, with style and raw energy.

8 Degrees astrologically is the most powerful number, therefore the name represents the music quite well.

8 Degrees

Began in late 1995 under the name Piss. The name was changed in early 1997 to 8 Degrees.

Won the Warped Tour battle of the bands at The Bottleneck in Lawrence, KS. June of 1998

Won the 98.9 the Rock's 3rd annual battle of the bands at America's Pub in Kansas City, Missouri. July of 1998

Performed at The Warped Tour '98 in Burcham Park Lawrence, KS. July 17th 1998

Took 2nd at the Ernie Ball Seminational battle of the bands at The Snow and Skate Boardriders Expo in San Mateo, CA October 1998

Performed in front of thousands of people at Freeker's Ball Kansas City International Speedway. October 31st 1998

Has performed in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Colorado, Tennessee, and California

Self released compact disc "swam the waters" since October of 1998 has sold over 1,000 copies and is still selling out of local and regional music stores.

The self released compact disc "swam the waters" has been in the top 10 best sellers list at Hastings music store.

The song Closure by 8 Degrees was on regular rotation at: 105.9 The Lazer in Lawrence Kansas, and is on regular rotation at 99.7 Real Rock in Pittsburgh Kansas where it has been on the top 5 most requested songs of the day. The song Closure can be requested at countless other college radio stations, and international radio stations.

In the time 8 Degrees has been in existence they have built a large fan base in the region, and had the opportunity of sharing the stage with such acts as Vanilla Ice, Kottonmouth Kings, Dial 7, Incubus, Grinspoon, Ultraspank, Far, The Phunk Junkeez, Snot, Stuck Mojo, Nothing Face, Nile, Propain, Molly McGuire, Pissing Razors, Napalm Death, Quiet Riot, Warrant, Slaughter, Link 80, Local H, Deftones, Zerbrahead, The Specials, Bad Religion, NOFX, Rancid, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, and has performed at the Van's Warped Tour in 98
