Ascended Essence is one of Hip Hop’s most up and coming talents, bringing the beloved and revered conscious style of Hip-hop 2 the next plateau. A.E. delivers vibes for all music listeners and artist of all color, creed and generations — Why Ascended Essence? There’s a blessed purpose for the alias. These emcees are easily recognized for their unique approach to rap music by employing multi-genre infused soundscapes to Ascension-centric rhymes, sans the jaded and often nihilistic aggressive posturing associated with Hip-hop, Ascended Essence will be largely responsible for the popularity of a new genre that will dominate the East Coast sound by the coming of the next decade, many music critics predict a shift in mainstream music to a more thought-provoking sound.

New Jersey natives, EPADEMC & ARC-DIZ and Chucktown (SC.) own native C-VEGAS, formed the AE. Syndicate in 2000. Vicci, the honorary member of A.E., though not always heard, was a fixture of the group in heart and in friendship. The A&E Syndicate, the original name of the group, was later given the prefix Ascended Essence by the holy grace of God, while freestylein’ the hallways of their high-school.

Sonically, AE is a decisive and welcomed tangent of multi-genre, bass-heavy rhythmic vibes and eclectic sampling when compared to the mundane recycling of soul loops, breaks and vocals of their contemporaries. Lyrically, emcees EPADEMC and ARC-DIZ address social issues relevant to young males and females, also hate and love and thier relevance, conscious theory’s and philosophical knowledge, industry politics and consumerism with infectious energy having a good time while still promoting positivity.

AE. composed a number of successful singles and albums with their creative approach to rap music. In 2001, the group released After Earth, scoring several memorable songs including “Life of AE.â€쳌, “The Strongholdâ€쳌 and “The Pathâ€쳌. It was their sophmore effort, Ascended Masters LP., considered one of the greatest follow-ups in independent self-produced hip-hop history, that will solidify them as legends one day. Released in late 2004, the freedom expressed in the creation and feel of this record – makes it a timeless classic. AE. continues to perfect and advance their sound, displaying their unique take on hip-hop. In the last year, the anticipation for another AE. album has been building. With dynamic stage shows and in the reception of their adoring fans the future looks promising for these young emcees.
