Hardkore, born December 1988 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has been an aspiring rapper and writer for many years. 'kore's passion for creating music began as early as fourth grade, when he claims he started writing rhymes.
"I would always have a composition book on me and just write rhymes during class because I got so bored," says 'kore. "Before you know it, my friends started asking me to spit my rhymes for them, and a few years later, I started recording songs and taking things more seriously."
The first time 'kore rapped in front of a live audience was a freestyle battle competition held at a Boca Raton night club, in November 2005. He and his friend, rapper Wizzy, entered the competition with no expectations. 'kore ended up in 2nd place out of 16 competitors and also participated in several rap battle competitions between 2005 to 2009.
Besides being known for his unique voice and freestyle ability, Hardkore has released a few projects of music. Hardkore's former group, Death Before Dishnor or DBD, was composed of 'kore and his high school rapping partners, Wizzy and Janova. DBD released their debut album, Shuttin' 'Em Down, in April 2007 and it was released on iTunes in July 2007. 'kore has also released two solo projects, The Mixtape Volume 1 and The W.O.M.B.
'kore's upcoming project, Bells in Lauderdale, is mostly produced by him and up-and-coming South Florida producer, Fresh Boy DJR.
If you enjoy feel good and inspirational music about the every day struggle, high grade trees, and partying with the ones you love, then Hardkore should be on your iPod, a.s.a.p.

Why this name?
It's just a nickname that's stuck with me for a long time.
Do you play live?
The only time I have performed live is in the several freestyle battles I have participated in. You can see the videos on Youtube.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Sales are going down but unknown artists are getting more shine. It's a win-lose situation.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, depending on how it would benefit my family and the people who help me make my music.
Your influences?
Nas, Eminem, Jay-Z, Tupac, Biggie, Big Pun, Ludacris, Fabolous, Lil’ Wayne, Clipse, Redman, Method Man, DMX, Xzibit, Masta Ace, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, and Royce Da 5’9.
Favorite spot?
Fort Lauderdale, Florida and South Beach, FL. Been to Ann Arbor, Michigan on two occasions. Very nice atmosphere there as well.
Equipment used:
It depends which studio I'm in. Normally my producer who uses a Apple uses Pro Tools and my producer who uses a Windows uses Cubase.
Anything else...?
All feedback is appreciated! Watch out for Hardkore's other upcoming projects Coming sooooon!!
