we are a peruvian alternative rock band with one goal: to change forever the musical scene of our country and therefore leave a page in the history of rock.
Why this name?
we made a list of possible names and started dropping the crappy ones... until we got like... 7 and made everyone in our classroom at school vote to choose the best one. 'monitos marinos' won, but it was too cheesy and we picked 'no data', which came on the second place.
Do you play live?
we haven't played live yet but we're looking forward to... we want to be heard!!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it helps a lot to discover new bands, making it a very very easy process.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yes, because it would help us go mainstream or something... not that we want to sell ourselves, but we'd like at least to be known... and we'd also like to be given artistic and scheduling freedom (a bit hard, but not impossible).
Your influences?
there's something of radiohead in everything we do... you can feel the radiohead touch most of the time... specially of the 'the bends' b-sides. that doesn't mean we copy them, we just fuse those sounds with metallica, guns and roses, jack johnson, bjork, sigur ros, alice in chains, pearl jam and stuff like that...
Favorite spot?
none in particular.
Equipment used:
italo: a cheap acoustic guitar, a yamaha eg112-up guitar, a zoom 505-II guitar pedal, a cheap peruvian-made bass.

Anything else...?
we can switch our positions a lot, that's why we own so diverse gear.
