SoundClick artist: Patrick Heath - Acoustic ballads, rockers and everything in between

Hi, I'm a guitarists, singer, song writer, living in OH and traveling the world (on business). I play 6 and 12 string acoustic, bass, electric lead and dabble with the keys.

I am an aspiring recording engineer as well and all of the songs posted were recorded on Cubase SX3 and mastered using Soundforge 8.

I am also a song writing, and typically start with a rythum and fill it out with other instruments, then words. I wrote about my life experiences and just things that pop into my head. I'm not quitting my day job any time soon, but enjoy music as a hobby and passion.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

What has changed the music industry is the ease of making quality home recordings. I personally buy more music now than say 10 years ago, due to i-tunes and the ease of downloading (legally) music.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Probably not a concern, but I doubt it.

Allman Brothers, Zepplin, Incubus, Strait, SRV...basically all over the place
