It's just me, myself and I at this point. I write the songs, play the guitar, piano, banjo and mandolin and sing the songs. I don't have a very good singing voice; someday I hope to find a vocalist with whom I can collaborate. For now, I just enjoy having fun creating and playing music.
Why this name?
I was born with it :) ... No really, until it's more than just myself, I'll just stick with my given name.
Do you play live?
No, except for church once in a while.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Absolutely. The internet has completely changed the way people listen to music and even how they think about it. It's opened up a whole new world of different musical genres to people who otherwise would have never explored styles of music outside of their "comfort zone".
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure, if the right opportunity presented itself :)
Band History:
I was born with a guitar in one hand and a banjo in the other! Actually, I have been playing guitar since age 12 and was in several bands throughout my teens. During those teen years I played at several local bars, private parties, and did some studio work. But, for the last several years have only worked in my home studio (and sometimes play guitar or banjo at church).
Your influences?
I really love fingerstyle guitar and open and alternate tunings (G, D, DADGAD, Dropped D, etc). I love the work of the late John Fahey. Also influenced by Leo Kottke, Ry Cooder, The Eagles, Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young and various other acoustic musicians.
Favorite spot?
I visited London England a few years ago and really loved it! One of the most soul stirring places Ive visited was Bath, England....I also love the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, AZ, Huntington Beach, CA, and West Palm Beach, FL.
