Why this name?
When the project started we were two people making music with the Amiga. At this time (1992) the Boehse Onkelz (engl. "bad uncles") were quite popular in our village (Aigen-Schlaegl) in Austria.. Therefore we took the name Boehse TekknomachaZ (bad techno makers), because our songs were quite mad (hardcore) things... Some years later I continued it as a one-man project. When I put my songs in the net (about 1999 at mp3.com), I dropped the "Boehse" because the songs have been quite smoother and more chilly now (also the Boehse were not understood by english listeners)
Band History:
My first steps with soundtrackerz in 1991 (when I was 13 years old), then some projects together with a friend (Boehse TekknomachaZ), then continued on my own way making music with the Commodore Amiga (Software: Oktalyzer, OctaMED and Bars&Pipes). Since 1995 I've additionally used a MIDI synthesizer (a Korg X5) - increased quality of sound. Since 1999 I've been producing new tracks again (now using a Windows PC with MED Soundstudio); spread on several webpages today
(e.g. open music source, fm4 soundpark, .. and of course here @ Soundclick)
