What can I say, they call me Young Tails or Y.T. for short, I love this thing called Hip Hop music and I hate what's become of it. I'm trying to bring back the essence of this music that I have loved since I was in diapers.
Why this name?
I don't know. I liked the video game sonic and called myself that. My name was Main Event for a minute but after awhile it was played out. I needed something creative and chose Tails.
Do you play live?
Eh, I drop a few mixtapes every now and then in my area. I guess you could say that I'm well known around parts of PA and the BX. My special moment was when I dropped me album "The Bad Guy" I have never gotten so much love from so many people before. That was a memorable time in my life for me.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well, the internet helps but it also f***s things up. It makes it easier to be heard and for talent to be spotted a lot faster, but it also makes it harder to sell records since this is the age of downloading music and ipods.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yeah, but I wouldn't sign really for the money. I just want to get my music out there to be heard.
