Why this name?
Ah yes. If you know us, it's obvious: "7 Atoms" is a Homophone of "Seve and Adams", which happen to be the last names of two of our members. We were never so concerned with what to call ourselves, but after a little word play we went with it. Cheesy? Perhaps. Brilliant? We think so.
Do you play live?
We play live every day, are you kidding me? Sure, it's usually done in the comfort of home (at college) as we are still in the production processes of our first album, so studio work is presently taking up most of our time. However we are eager to begin playing live, and welcome any new opportunities.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well, for obvious reasons, it changes the industry drastically. For one, the frequency of the circulation of music files (as well as almost any kind of file) has skyrocketed. Access is practically universal. It has also allowed for many new platforms of musical exhibition and mediums for democratic review and discourse.
I could go on and on, but most of this is already apparent to most people.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
The big question. Who knows.
The prospect of signing with a major label will always be one that excites us, though we will NOT waiver with respect to our vision, and our love of musical creativity and expression.
