Well to start, I'm not so much a band as an individual with grand ideas! Quite simply I'm a bedroom musician who's not composed in quite a while, wondering whether I should up my game or quit... There - that's plain!
Why this name?
I guess it was a random thing - The word (complete with mis-spelling) kinda looked cool when I was playing around with some graphic design while bored one lunchtime at work - and it's stuck with me ever since. One day I might even dig out the original logo I designed!
Do you play live?
My material won't work "live" in its present form - but I am talking with someone to try and get one of my pieces orchestrated - that would be fun!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's clear to me that the physical media model for music distribution will become a dying art form, which I think is a shame because that does give a sense of ownership. Having a piece of plastic to hold feels much better than simply having a download and accompanying email receipt for your purchase. I like CD too - and I think it's a crying shame that the current UK network infrastructure doesn't yet allow for moving Lossless or WAV/AIFF files around the place - I hate that much of the downloaded music is compressed and DRM'ed - even though I understand the legalities and technicalities involved. Meh!

It's progress isn't it? And that's a good thing, provided we embrace it I guess...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not sure I'm good enough for that just yet - how's about asking me AFTER I get the offer and we'll take it from there? ;o)
Band History:
More to come on this - but there's not much that's important.
Your influences?
Jarre, Vangelis, Robert Miles, Air, Hybrid, Royksopp, Mike Oldfield, Tangerine Dream, Orbital - for electronic and score-based influence. Other influences have come from Evanescence (love that pure female vocal and mashed guitar sound!), Delirious, U2 and many others.
Favorite spot?
Have to say I'm most inspired right now by Minneapolis for some unknown reason...
Equipment used:
Instruments are mostly freeware softsynths in Cubase SE (the first issue) on Windows XP. All FX used were freeware or demo VST's. For music composition, for familiarity I still prefer Windows XP on either a MacBook or my older Acer laptop. For everything else (mastering, admin, day-job) I'm Mac all the way.
