Born in Irvington, New Jersey to a musical family, MackMan's interest in music developed at a very early age. "Before I was born, my mother thought I was gonna turn out a dancer or somethin... [laughing] I used to get my two-step on in her womb when music was on" he says in a 2008 interview, "...I've always had a strong connection with music." Joining the church choir at the early age of three, MackMan stepped up to become the choirs first drummer when he was nine, and has been making music ever since. Creating some of his first tracks when he was ten on the SNES game Mario Cart, MackMan quickly captured the attention of family and friends for his ability to make songs.
Enduring the harsh realities of growing up in "the hood", MackMan used music as an escape. Often stealing away for hours at a time, he could be found in his basement where his father and uncle built their recording studio. "Music definitely played a major role in keeping me out of trouble" he noted, "... it's hard to say what I'd be into if I never had the music... I'm just thankful I did [laughing] we all should be..." As a producer/ songwriter/ musician and artist, MackMan uses his experiences and those of his fellow 8Tz BabEz™ to make music that the generation could truly relate to.
Often coming together with family and friends, MackMan continutally proves that high quality music and sounds are not limited to those who are already in the industry. With captivating, catchy sounds like those of Timbaland or Dr. Dre, MackMan's musical influences are not bound by any particular genre or even time period. "I like what sounds good basically... [I] never liked limiting myself." Limitations is one of the only things not listed in MackMan's repertoire, and with no sign of slowing down in sight, he's destined to make a lasting impression on music and the music industry.

Why this name?
GhostTown 8Tz BabEz pretty much speaks for itself. We had to come up with a name to capture not only the essence of our music, but of each of us both individually and collectively. We're all so much the same, and so different. The epitome of a generation known as 80s Babies.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet makes these record execs realize that music is more than money. Helping many more people get access to and hear music that they may not have been able to had they been forced to buy a cd. Downloading does hurt record sales for now, but more importantly it increases exposure to more music, so when there comes a way to account for all music available... this industry will once again flourish.
