Wolf-Hybrid is a new breed of metal with influences from thrash to alt rock. Formally known as an experimental band called "Why the Fable?" that made little progress and went through too many bandmates. The band has finally found its sound and re-emerged as Wolf-Hybrid. Taking the sound of dark growling thrash guitars and playing them with jazzy bass over rock and thrash beats makes quite a unique, but not bizarre combination. The vocals elude the new screamer trend and stick to more alternative singing with moderated screaming/growling. The end result is a more balenced sound that's different but still easy to listen to.
Why this name?
A weird story. The idea popped into our vocalist's head when he heard about these dangerous 'pets' called wolf-hybrids that attacked and killed their breeder. They're as strong and deadly as wolves and as bold as domestic dogs, and the odd mix makes them mentally unstable. What an awesome pet! It's a dangerous animal that symbolizes our dangerous sound.
Do you play live?
We're getting our set list together finally now that we've recently gotten a full roster.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's great. I've discovered so many unsigned bands through the internet. You've got to change with the times to sell your music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends. Our we gonna comprise our sound and loyalty for money? Hell no.
