I started in music at the age of 8 playing keys at church and i've been at it ever since. Music to me is suppose to remind you of a specific time and place. There are certain songs, that to this day, takes me back to when I first heard it and what I was feeling at that time. This is the type of music i want to produce. Music that sparks emotion and trancends all cultural, economical, and racial boundaries.
Let me tell you a little about how the beats were made. Some of you might be shocked to find that we are a software based studio. Software used: Reason by propellerheads, Nuendo by steinberg, Cubase by steinberg, and protools just because it's an industry standard. I've tried other software like fruity loops and others but the sound quality just wasn't the same as Reason and the VST plugins for Nuendos and Cubase.

Equipment used:
Alot of people have asked me what im running for vocals. Well, Im running The Lexicon Omega interface, 8 in 8 out. Im also running a protools micro for mixing in protools. 2 AKG preceptions mics a 400 for r&b and a 200 for hip hop. the mics run through a presonus tube preamp and a beringer multi efx processor. Im using compression through the efx processor and using waves plug-ins for limiting and maximizing (I find that is the best way to do it.) I have the platinum waves bundle as well. Recording is done in either protools or cubase (depends on what I feel like and who im working with. If im doing something personal i'll use cubase LE4, but if i'm working with another studio i'll use protools.) Monitors are Rockit 6's powered monitors made by KRK (near field). When choosing monitors, get something that is good but not too good, you want a little funk in the sound when you are doing mixdowns (trust me on this one)
