Why this name?
It just came from nowhere, We muddled with different names and it just stuck..It sounds kinda cool though
Do you play live?
No we have not played live, primarily because of the sheer cost and organization of logistics to get from gig to gig. It's ok if you are a normal band with guitars, bass etc, then its a lot more easer to do so, but synths and midi are a different matter.
We have both played live in previous bands and in particular Richard just hates the prospect of gigging in local pubs. Richard -" Gigging is ok if it has purpose and meaning to it, and if there are generally groups of people out to hear a band, then thats ok". "More often or not especially in our local area we lack proper gigging venues to host up and coming bands and instead bands have to resort to pubs, where Joe public who would rather spend their time drinking after a hard days work and so are not really interested in listening to a band working hard to promote their original songs.
There are a high amount of people who really want cover bands to play out a set of songs they can sing along to,so they never really get the vibes that an original band has to offer, and that's a shame.
But I have watched a number of local bands over the past year and some are really good but again they are let down so badly by poor stage mixing that they sound like a merged mess where every single band members amp is set to full and all fighting for listening space and so it's not enjoyable to anyone. It's not them, its the sad monkey who seem to operate mixing desks and more worringly seem brag about how good they are. (almost every small gig event venue has one in aberdeen apart from places such as The Loft,Lemon Tree, AEC and the Music hall where the P.As are good but again are hard venues to obtain as a small struggling band, The rest are crap with poor equipment and operators.
Aberdeen really need to look at how they promote local talent because at the moment they do them no justice. I would feel really un-comfortable that we would be out there to try our hardest only to be let down by stupid things such as the quality of the sound system. If the right venue comes along..then we will.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it will as may take over the place that the small live venue has failed to go, where people and hopefully A&R people can discover new talents without having to travel massive distances to hear unsigned bands bands.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes.. thats what almost everyone wants
Your influences?
We have various influences but none that somewhat appears in the music. Dave is into things like Reef, Bizkit,Linken Park etc and Richard influenced by early Duran,Beloved and The Cure and a lot of Depeche Mode.
Favorite spot?
??????
Equipment used:
Dave uses a telecaster processed through a Zoom 4040 and various distortion pedals. Synths duties are normally performed via a Yamaha CS1x and AN1x,Sampling is thru an Akai S2000 and for pianos and low natural sounding strings is an Alesis Quadrasynth.
Anything else...?
This first two songs are in simple demo format recorded with very little in the way of effects etc. We are currently gathering finances to get the next phaze of the band into the studio to record more songs."The new songs are more harder and darker, with a lot having more stadium rock feel to them. We are also working on an image to promote the band, so once we have sorted it out pictures will follow. We have half of the image ready and so far it looks pretty cool and unlike anything you have seen recently..It's going to be very larger than life. All we need now are the right record company to back us..I promise you won't regret it.
