My name is D'Ray Lloyd a.k.a. Young Daze, 22 from Newport News, Va. found my talent in writing and performing music, at a young age. Growing up in the streets of downtown, Newport News, I was faced with difficult decisions, and tough situations. Yes, I can often relate to those who been poor and grew up struggling. "My mind is on my music and my money and I won't stop until I make it to the top!" Growing up in a single parent home, there were times when my family had nothing, so yes, we appreciate everything we get and everything we got. At 18 I dropped out of school, because I didn't have a place to live. At that time I was sleeping house to house or anywhere I could lay my head. As time went on my life has gotten a little better. My mom got into Real Estate, and I began to take my rap career a little more serious. My mom spent the money for my studio time, while I was trying to get my album completed. The only person that truly believed in me was my mom, who invested money, time, and support more than anyone was. With her beliefs as a Christian, she didn't like rap music, but she believed in me, and for her and myself, I PROMISE, I won't let her down!
