17th Link is a good, fun loving band from KY, jamming with Jason Engelhard at the microphone, Travis Stahlhut and Matt Fassler on the guitars, Zack Hausrath layin' down the beats on the drums, and rounding it out on rythm is Quentin Gibeau on bass. Unfortunately we lost Zack, but we brought in Rob Hilgefort for our new drummer. He's also contributes good ideas to the other instruments.
Why this name?
We sat around for a month without a name, went through list after list of band names. Heard 17th Link and thought it was kinda cool, and it's a golf term!
Do you play live?
Yes, at our local amphitheater, and at various other venues.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It let's people listen to music a lot more than the radio, they can pick and choose what they listen to, and it's listened to right away, so it's a big deal and very cool.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hell yes we would! That would not only be a dream come true for all of us, but a goal for us as well.
Band History:
The band got started last August of 2002, but long story short, the five of us got together in Febuary 2003 and jammed. So it began...
The Zack went to college, and we picked up Rob and have some kick-ass new songs that we are about to record.
Your influences?
We're sort of Incubus/Jane's Addiction/Creed/some various punk bands mixed
Favorite spot?
Zack's woods, Ault Park, Matt's house, and Back Door Studio.
Equipment used:
Guitar amps, soundboard, drums, microphones, and speakers with a pa mixed in there somewhere.
Anything else...?
We just love to play!
