Info About Exclusive & Non Exclusive
***************************
A "Exclusive" beat is a beat that I can only sell to one artist, making the purchaser the full license holder and giving them all the rights the that beat. A exclusive beat cannot be resold again by me. Only the person that purchased it from me can sell it for whatever value they want. That’s why "Exclusive" beats are more expensive, because once sold as "Exclusive" I do not own that beat anymore. As soon as a track is sold as "Exclusive" I trash all the session files that I used for that beat, after the purchaser gets all of the data needed for his/her production.
A "Non Exclusive" beat is a beat that I can sell to as many artist’s as I want to without giving up my ownership of the beat. That’s why "Non Exclusive" beats are cheaper than "Exclusive" beats, for the simple reason that I still own the track your just getting charged a small amount to use it on your record. "Non Exclusive" beats only apply to a album, mixtape etc, with total sales not exceeding 7,500 copies. Sales past this amount are required to purchase another non exclusive license for a additional 7,500 sales and so on.

Why this name?
Well a "Magnitude 9" earthquake is f***ing huge!!! That's exactly how I want my music to be, I want people to feel my shit.
Do you play live?
Yea I just love it when I get to meet a artist, and I have there final track mixed and ready to go and they pop it in there stereo and "BBBAAAMMM" totally knocks em' over with the great sound. Also when people tell my that my music is hot, it's really heart warming to know that people are feeling my tracks.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
As with everything there's always a bad side, but for me the good out weighs the bad by a long shot. It sure is easy to send a MP3 through email to a artist in 2 minutes, rather than have them wait 2 - 5 days for the CD to arrive in the mail. Also, to all you pirates and beat jacker's out there - "THIS IS OUR LIVING" please respect us artist's that devote our life's to music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the deal was right.
Band History:
What's up! Magnitude 9 here. First off here's a little about myself and my journey into the music world: When I was younger I went through a lot of trials and tribulations just like most everybody else in our difficult society. I did a lot of stupid things that I shouldn't have, and had a lot of fun at the same time. When I was in school I wasn't really ever the popular kid nor did I have a lot of friends for that matter. I always used to get in trouble for doing dumb things and not paying attention when I was supposed to to in class. As the years went by my Mom and Dad got tired of the teachers and principals calling all the time so my Mom decided to home school me. From the 6th grade to the end of school I was home schooled by my Mom, and occasionally my Dad. Through this time I was VERY frustrated and I felt like I was being isolated from everybody else and kept in a cage. But through this my musical talents started to emerge and my anger fueled the ink in my pen to write lyrics that had a meaning. A few years had passed by and things were getting easier as I got adjusted to this big switch in my life. Then when I was 14 the biggest turning point was when I was given a PC by my uncle Wayne to help with my school work and daily tasks. Around that time I was reading recording magazines and new about using a PC to produce beats and record with, so I was quick to find out what I needed. I started calling around locally, and to my disappointment I found out that the software and equipment I needed cost a lot and was let down yet once again. My Mom is a department group leader at a local book manufacturing plant and a few guys there were into music, so she had told them bits and pieces of what I was trying to do, so one guy asked me if I had ever tried Fruity Loops? I said no, so he said he would burn me a copy of the DEMO, and that it should help start me out producing good tracks. From the day I installed that piece of software on the PC I was HOOKED!!! I couldn't stop and I knew this is all I ever wanted to do with my life. I was fascinated by all the gear, the lights, the big studios, the way things worked and the world of sounds I had at my finger tips. All of this was such a inspiration for me and I've never lost one bit of it through the years. In fact the inspiration just keeps building everyday with every track I produce. So that's a little bit about me an how I started my music career, and how I came from nothing and found something that made me who I am today. In closing I'd like to say thanks to everybody that's been a true friend to me and everybody that supports my music. Whether your a artist or label buying tracks from me, a fan buying my CD's off the shelf showing your support or just somebody I met through the years that's showing love regardless of my music, without you I'd be nothing. Thanks for everything!!!
Your influences?
Everybody that want's to be somebody and make something out of there life is a influence to me. Whether it's the kid on the block trying to make his way out of the ghetto, the producer that spends every dime he gets buying equipment and samples to master the art, the artist that doesn't care about anything but his dream of making it in the industry and just everybody out there that doesn't give up. Life isn't easy and everyday is a test, at the end of the day either you accomplished your goals or you didn't, nobody can do the work for you, it's your choice to make it to the top and succeed.
