Jacker

HEY... a little update. The stuff I have been putting out there for "jacker" has been things I have worked on alone in my home studio.
But now I have been working on some new songs, which I hope to have ready soon, and on top of that I have been neglecting my home recording and songwriting lately because I have been working with a bluesband in Oslo for the last year or so. I will post the band (right now, for the last 12 years their name has been "Sagene Lunsjband" but I hope they will change it to something a little more international, a little more "bluesy". I will post here, and our original songs on Soundclick soon.

Why this name?
It's my first initial and last name. I guess you could call me a kind of band-naming-genius eh? I mean, NO ONE has ever done THAT before
Do you play live?
I do play live. I have several things going on at the same time...a bluesband I play lead guitar in, an acoustic band I have with my brother-in-law, and solo. Have played out in Oslo a little lately, in the last few years.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
You know...I am not far enough up the food chain to be able to predict much about it. I do know that MP3 allows amatuers like myself to be able to get their music out. GOd knows I don't want it cluttering up our house! But I do think too many people are coming to think that they shouldn't ever have to pay for music. Seems to me if you like someones' music you don't want to cheat them. I think the net can be a valuable help to getting your music out there.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would if it was offered, and the conditions were right.
Your influences?
Everything...Blind Boy Fuller, Rev Gary Davis, John Lee Hooker, Pink Floyd, John Hiatt, Knut Reiersrud, Taj Mahal, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Leadbelly, Woody Guthrie, Arlo Guthrie, Steve Earle, Gerorge Harrison...and tons more
Favorite spot?
Oslo, Santa Fe, San Francisco
