Why this name?
It's a long story
Do you play live?
Nonstop..we will play anywhere, anytime.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has such a dramatic effect. Now, if you don't have the internet on lock down, you will not survive.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not immediately...We think starting out indie is the best way to learn, adapt, and grow as musicians. It's a good way to prepare for a major label and all the stress that goes along with it.
Band History:
As Emination’s set approached, got a little bit rowdy. (Not as rowdy as a room full of people with incurable STD’s smoking crack and having rampant unprotected sex, but close.) In between sets, impromptu beer-chugging contests quickly became the norm. Tyler came onstage as soon as his drum set had been assembled, and with a bit of a warm up solo he displayed more technical proficiency than the drummers for the previous three bands had combined. Finally, the time came for the band to take the stage. For those who hadn’t seen Emination play previously this particular moment might have come with a bit of a shock, as all of the band members had either been in the front row of each of the bands who played before them, or could be seen mingling with the crowd. And as soon as they began to play, each band member’s individual contribution to the group became blatantly apparent. Juan and Geoff make a formidable guitar duo – Juan’s Metallica-esque style and Geoff’s early Slayer chops mixing well. The two played twin leads and traded solos like it was going out of style. Hagar and Tyler form an inspired rhythm section that drives Emination’s songs like a freight train on methamphetamines – without taking away from the melody. And Tio’s aggressive vocal style compliments the style of music very well, and adds just the right amount of adrenaline and testosterone to the mix.
