E-Skillz: One word to describe him: Jack Of All Trades. He is an Artist, Engineer, and Manager for his local label. SkyHigh Recordz was consisted of local artist, who have all worked on different projects for the label. E-skillz has now focused on his 1st solo effort titled: Layers: My Identity Structure. Why this name?
E-skillz is the short name for Explicit Skillz. I liked the sound of it, nothing more to it.
Do you play live?
I love to perform and take a chance to do so when its possible. I'm all over the open mics, and shows out in D.C.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Its actually a good way of spreading music around, but in all honesty its actually killing the music industry.
Why pay for something, when you could find it online??? People forget that this is how artist are feeding they families, and how they are keeping the companies they started afloat. It works for undiscovered artist like me to get music out to a vast amount of people, but it's also one of the things killing the industry we're all trying so hard to get our foot in. It's a double edge sword if you think about it.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes I would, as long as I could work out a deal to get my Skyhigh Recordz imprint situated in a way where I can generate currency for me and my own company.
Your influences?
I love Tupac Shakur. Growing up he was my main influence. I have more influences but he was the main one.
Favorite spot?
I reside in the Maryland, but I perform out the City. I love both spots.
Equipment used:
Pro Tools 7.3, Logic Pro 8, Blue Bluebird MIc, Two M-Audio 8x8's, and Two M-Audio Studio-Phile Dx4, Mackie Universal Control, and a Mac Mini.
Anything else...?
Listen, and feel the music. My music is personal to me, and it isn't always gun play, and gun talk. I can do that but stay away from that because its not who I am. If you don't like my music it's okay, just tell me. I can handle negative feedback because I understand that my music is not for everyone. Just be respectful about it, but I do ask for people to leave feedback and comments. Take care, and I hope you guys enjoy the music.
