LX is a mixture of the edginess of rock with the urban blend of hip-hop combined into one emotion driven masterpiece.
Why this name?
Living in Xzile (Exile) means to be out of the masses or the majority but yet I am still around (living) to be within but not of them.

Do you play live?
Yes, Colleges and Clubs. I love it. One time I was in a car accident an hour before I performed and still went on with it ...had to be one of the best shows I've ever done.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes things easier to market and buy but it can bring down the traditional sonograms that most enjoy because it takes away the tangibility and some literature about the artist.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends on two things...Creative Control and....marketing me as I am.
Band History:
LX, (real name, Elijah Harvey born February 26, 1984 in Landstuhl, Germany- Washington, DC raised) is an artist known for his blend of rock into modern hip hop. LX stands for "Living in X-zile (exile)" He has gained national AND international attention and exposure for his "out of the box" songwriting and production.
LX is a self-taught musician who started playing piano at the age of four. He began playing Christmas carols by ear and then was later taught how to produce at the age of eight by his older friend/counselor Tyrone Kohlheim. He later gathered his childhood friends together with similar interests and started the group "DEQU". Throughout his middle school years, the large group had members who dropped out and lost interests in music. Consequently he reformed the group named "Warpath" (Andre "Granite" Chambers, Julius "Ju' Cease" Galbreath and Anthony "Tchaositself Coleman) whose members still stand today.

During his college years, he stepped away from the group to find himself and to learn new instruments and genres outside of hip-hop and R&B. In that time, he also composed a solo album called Eternity: The Rebirth focusing on his personal life and growth.

Currently LX is back in the studio working on his "official "album Identity Crisis to show his different sides, style and moods. He currently has songs spinning in parts of Israel, Korea, Canada, Japan and the Philippines. He is widely known for his innovative sound and his drive to be the best he can be in any genre he decides to study.

LX has worked for and with famous labels such as Def Jam, Universal, Columbia and Interscope Records. He has also produced songs for Rampage of Flipmode, Cuban Link, Black Buddafly, Mona Lisa and other artists. Recently, he has joined platinum producer, Jimi Kendrix in his production for the hard hitters out today. He is affiliated with Noize Mob LLC and currently managed by DJ Heat of WPGC 95.5 FM. He has had a career widely recognized for his "Left Field" Production and has been nominated Best Producer 2008 DMV award. LX is arguably one of the most diverse and creative artists of his time.
