Why this name?
Chase Allen was born with the name. The name for the band Midnight Obsession, represents that one thing that drives us all impulsively. Whether its something amazing or something terrible we all have that Midnight Obsession thats pulls on us and controls us. Whatever your Midnight Obsession may be you know you've got one!!!!
Do you play live?
Yes we play live!!! The show is crazy!! Special moment that comes to mind is when we do the song "Who The??". When I look out at audience all I see is middle fingers everywhere. It's hilarious!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is crazy cool. Don't be afraid of it folks....this is where we are going so hop aboard. I can get my music all over the world from my own house. Sweet!!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
At this point yes. Depending on the deal of course. The dream however is to sell my own CD's and make my own. The majors have some serious promotional power behind them. Until we can match that type of promotion it will always be beneficial to consider a Major Labels offer.
Band History:
I put my band together in Dec. of 2007. I found my bad ass Drummer Bert Baker,(Drummer with Pharcyde), from craigslist. Also my Rad Guitar player Ryan Radcliff from craigslist. I just wrote in the ad go listen to my music on Myspace. If you dig it then call me. Well I don't know why but they did call. "Thank you Lord." I still needed a dope Bass player. (Who doesn't) Well I had a friend who was in an R&B band. For some reason I asked if I could go watch them rehearse. He said sure. That night I watched the band and there was this funny dude wearing a Kangol and a members only jacket laying it down hard and smooth on the bass. On break i told him I was putting a band together and Ill be playing Rhodes keyboard and singing. He didn't even listen to the music he just said I'll do it!! Sometime I wonder If am worthy of playing with these guys. I truly am blessed and when I look back at how the band was formed I think "Damn..Thank You Lord!!
