For Hip Hop to breathe, it's gonna take a genius emcee.
Why this name?
For Hip Hop to breathe, it's gonna take a genius emcee.
My initials are GMC. In addition, I pride myself on making listeners listen to tracks more than once, while debating and contemplating the significance of the lines. Much in the same way that the geniuses of our generation and ones of the past have made millions of people reassess whatever viewpoints that they originally held. Furthermore, I feel that while I am smart and wise beyond my years, I have not reached the genius level yet. Many artists focus on the present while I look to the future and what I could become.

Do you play live?
Its far and few between. But there is nothing like getting instant feedback from your audience.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Without a doubt the Internet has changed the industry. Case in point is that you’re reading this material now. If you ask any of the mainstream artists, they will agree. It has also affected what we listen too. Viral videos like “Crank That” have been just that, viruses to the real artists. While it has boosted awareness as well as made people who would never listen to a rap album pick one up for their kids or whatever, when they find out what Superman that h** means, there's gonna be some problems.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the price is right. Lol.
Your influences?
Talib Kweli, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def, The Roots. You get the picture.
Favorite spot?
NYC. Enough said.
Equipment used:
Lol. Equipment. I’m in the primitive stages of production but I use a PC, a modest microphone, and Acid music studio. Sound Click is an excellent tool, as well as other Internet mediums, MySpace, ReverbNation. There are some talented cats out there, and it’s nice to interact with others who have different types of equipment.
