Hey, we're the Dobbers, a bunch of Happy go lucky guys from Dundee. Having played in other bands in the Dundee scene and not felt completly happy with the way things went, we wanted a band where we could just relax and have a good time with.
We have just got things together and have recorded our first demo. Our first gig is lined up for the 25th April and we're ready to go.
We play a big mix of rock n roll with some punk riffs and alot of heavy metal influence.

Why this name?
It was quite simple, we're all just a big Bunch of Dobbers at the end of the day.
It felt fitting.
It felt fitting.
Do you play live?
We havent yet, but in old Projects we have played hundreds of gigs between ourselves. I gotta say it feels so good when your playing a show and you have a good hundred folk singing along to every lyric in your song.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it makes buying and obtaining music easier. It also gives the acts the confidence to go it alone and sell their songs 100% digitally without the backing of a label.
Hundreds of pounds are also saved on the manufacturing of the cd's and with that there is eventaully going to be less trucks on the road carting around cd's on the motorways helping a wee bit with the environment.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
f*** yes. why not? if you get screwed, then you live and you learn dont you?
Your influences?
Heavy metal, rock n roll, good times, beer, comedy and Scotland.
Favorite spot?
Bonnie Dundee, it;s where it's at! :P
