The name came from a homie of mine while we were talkin about past and present experiences... Where I come from, if they call you a "MAC", that means you've Mastered the Art of Communication... So if you can talk yourself into a beneficial position then you've mastered the art... I've always been a hustla and i could talk a bald man into buying hair gel, and talk a female into givin me whatever i want, so my homie started callin me Ronnie Mac, which i shortened to Ron E Mac, with the E being a reference to extasy pills...

I've played a couple house parties and a club or two, but its always just been an impromptu performance starting with someone playin my music...

With the way music is going all digital, its beneficial for artists to use sites like this one, myspace and other digital music sites to promote thier music and push themselves... Without having to go through the politics of a major label, or having all the hangups that come with dealing with a label, just about anyone can get thier music out to the public... The way i see it, nobody can push me as hard as i can push myself...

I would consider it, the pros have to outweigh the cons... I just dont know if i would be willing to deal with the politics of a major...

Artist/Producer RON E MAC is a 27 year old rap phenom with no background in music only a love for the art... Spending the last 6 years mastering his craft moving back and forth between California's Central Valley (Fresno and Turlock) and the Los Angeles area (Long Beach, Bellflower, Compton, OC), he has been up and down the west coast from hood to hood and it has not been an easy journey, yet he has persevered and made it through with a positive outlook...
