How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet and the digitalization of music has changed this industry forever. Soon, CDs will be obsolete. This has positive and negative effects. Now, anyone can create their own music from home, start a record label and start selling online. Unfortunatley, this allows people to make music who have no business doing so, flooding the market. But, that can never outweigh the networking capabilities that have been created for musicians via the internet and mp3.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, but I would definitely read the fine print and get a lawyer involved.
Band History:
Since the age of twelve, Jim has been studying and composing music. Starting as a rock & roll drummer, through his eagerness to compose original music, he transcended hurdles - learning how to proficiently play a number of instruments, including guitar and piano. His compositions range from classical to contemporary r&b and hip hop. With his exceptional understanding of music theory, natural talent for melodic composition, and accomplished instrumental prowess, Jim is quickly gaining recognition as one of the most talented and diverse song writers in the central New York area.
