Sensitivo is a 5-piece rock act that fuses music with "straight-to-your-face" lyrics arranged in catchy hard rifts. Sensitivo is Philippine Digital Awards 2009’s “Best Indie Music Group” and Their song “Isa’t Kalahating Araw” bagged the “Best Indie Music Award”. Sensitivo’s Debut CD Album “SENSITIVO: Isa’t Kalahating Araw” is now out and available worldwide. Sensitivo is also "Best Rock Group of 2009" in the 11th Global Excellence Awards.

Why this name?

It was named as such for it embodies the the "sensitivity" of the members and the music itself. - Sensitivity is in each one of us... It's in you too whether you deny it or not. You are SENSITIVO in one way or another.

Do you play live?

Yes, we do play live in different circuits of the metro, key cities and key provinces. To name some; 19east, Magnet, Zirkoh, 6-Undrground and much more. We also do school gigs and provincial tours. Of course we do love playing live because it is a chance wherein we could state our voice and sentiments on variety of issues. Being an artist is a responsibility... not just a fad. Every gig is special... every interaction within the band and the crowd is a special moment for us... ecstatic.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

It affects the industry a lot. For example, with mp3's, you could easily share your music to anyone in the world at anytime. And technically speaking, Mp3's are very "handy" now that we are in the advent of digital advancements. MP3's are the new media of audio... or should i say... a standard format. GO GO DOWNLOAD! SPREAD THE WORD!

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

We are currently under Gusi Records/Atikha Music in partnership with Concord Music Group.

Band History:

Sensitivo is the product of years of evolving. The members had been intact since 2001. However, different genres and musical preferences hinders the band from commercializing. Sensitivo was the former Nabuleyd, then to Evermizzed, then to Kayumanggi (which had an EP out under Gusi Records). Sensitivo's current line-up, is the final and most "dedicated" to go mainstream. Sensitivo was officially formed last summer of 2007. The rest is history in the making... Feel and watch us.

Your influences?

We have a very wide range of musical influences that molded our music. Jyel has been into the hardcore. rapcore genre since he was young. He is fond of Korn, Deftones, Earth Crisis and the likes. Jabs is ecstatic with the ghost notes of drum playing. She is addicted with tha technicalities of TOTO and Sir Vic Mercado. While Jamve is into the alternative and new emo sounds. He is also the one who can play folk in our band... We are really blessed for we are gifted with such wide musicality... we are still experimenting however for our first album.

These are the bands we respect and get inspiration from: Urbandub, Rage Against the Machine, Deftones, Finch, and the likes...

Favorite spot?

Lucena, Lucban, these are the 2 main places we love coz thiz is where are band has been born. But of corz... every place we do a gig is a favorite spot... - OUR FAVORITE SPOT IS OUR LISTENERS AND FANS's HEARTS. - 'nuff said!
