Here's somethin plain and simple, this is me, this is who I am, what you see is what you get, so brace yourself for somethin out of the ordinary.
Why this name?
I chose it for multiple reasons. At the time I was big on that green, that was one reason, another was because I strived to make money, and the other was becase of the envious people around me.
Do you play live?
Haven't did it in a couple of years. Its something crazy though when you on that stage and people are rappin your words wit you. Thats jus an unexplainable feelin.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's a 50/50 thang. It helps us undiscovered people get some recognition in the industry but the people who actually made it whatever sells they could generate is coming down. Part of that I blame on the artist for not putting everything into their songs no more, it's just makin people not want to but it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yeah, most definately, because even though your album sells might be down, TOUR. That's where the money is at, TOUR!
Your influences?
Man, there is so many. Alot of people like to start wit Pac and Big, they are in there for me, the main people that got me into the type of style that I had was Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. They are number one for my influence. Then there is NWA, Em, Luda, Jay, Game, Bishop Lamont, Crooked I, Lupe, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, the list goes on and on.
Favorite spot?
Right now, man, its got to be Memphis. Mainly because that was around the area that I started and met the people that gave me some insight. Though I kept it limited because half of Memphis sounds the same, so I tried to put a twist on thangs.
Equipment used:
I use Cakewalk, a MXL 990 Microphone, a X-Fi sound blaster microphone, and my ability to hear. I use Reason for the beats and a usb keyboard for the input. I got a tendancy to do a verse until its perfect. If I cant tell then, Ill burn it, listen to a for a couple of days so I can spot those imperfections, and re-record it if needed.
Anything else...?
Not really, like I said, what you see is what you get, but something unexpected and real. I never lie about anything in my raps, thats the first thing you will notice with me. Im 100%. Shout out to Mac Gold, Bledsoe, DB, my loyal dudes that's been down wit me since Day 1. ONE!
