Jemerson Mosley has been playing in and around the Ashland, KY area since about 1986. We are a ragtag group of professional musicians who have all been blacklisted by the elitist conservative musicians movement(CMM) that now dominates the industry. They are the guys behind the Dixie Chix boycott.
Now we play mostly smaller, more intimate venues like state fairs and battle of the bands. But we're RoKKen!

Why this name?
Jemerson Mosley is the name of the founding member of this group. Unfortunaltely, he is not part of the band anymore. But the name is well know in this area, so we kept it. He was a wonderful musician.. However, he is really bad about holding a grudge.
Do you play live?
Jemerson Mosley has been rocking state fairs and local battle of the bands in the tri-state area for well over a decade.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has done amazing things for music as far as we can tell. We wrote this song called 'The Leaders Who Forgot or: the Neo-Cons' and my brother-in-law said he could put in on the world-wide-web for us. We told him to do it.
The Next day our song was featured on www.radioleft.com, takebackthemeddia.com, just to name a few.
It really kicked ass.

We've been blacklisted by the conservative musician's movement, remember... We dont stand a chance right now..
