Born in Manhattan raised in Harlem, SpideR-$tyle has always been an artistic soul, a deep thinker, an athlete, and a champion amongst champions. Saddened & Angered by injustice and influenced by freedom fighters of old and new, itz only natural for his music to have a positive spin. He believes in the power of the voice, the power of Hiphop, and holds tightly onto the notion of righteous raps bringing forth freedom from oppression world wide.

Why this name?
I already go by SpideR and the music I create or what I do artisticly is my style. Hence the name SpideR-$tyle.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
On the one hand it makes the music industry stronger/better because it makes it easier for the fans to get their favorite artists' music...on the other, it creates problems for the industry because the file sharing makes it hard to generate money for the artists.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
That depends on the contract but as long as I have creative freedom and the opportunity to grow I'd be happy to oblige.

The levels of Study

A certain swordsman in his declining years said the following:
In one's life there are levels in the pursuit of study. in the lowest level, a person studies but nothing comes of it, and he feels that both he and others are unskillful. at this point he is worthless. In the middle level he is still useless but is aware of his own insufficiencies and can also see the insufficiencies of others. In a higher level he has pride concerning his own ability, rejoices in praise from others and laments the lack of ability in his fellows. This man has worth. In the highest level a man has the look of knowing nothing.
These are the levels in general. But there is one transcending level, and this is the most excellent of all. This person is aware of the endlessness of entering deeply into a certain Way and never thinks of himself as having finished. He truly knows his own insufficiencies and never in his whole life thinks that he has succeeded. He has no thoughts of pride but with self-abasement knows the Way to the end. It is said that Master Yagyu once remarked, "I do not know the way to defeat others, but the way to defeat myself."
Throughout your life advance daily, becoming more skillful than yesterday more skillful than today. This is never-ending

He also loved to wise crack, clown, and make up parodies since his early years. SpideR $tyle wrote rhymes in high school and kicked them amongst his peers for fun and due to lack of interest in school. He considered a career in Hiphop @ the age of 18 , but began to gain creative momentum at 20.
