Matt Venus Project (MVP for short) was actually started in the late 90's with guitarist Matt Venus taking time off from his regular bands to create a solo CD of music. Over the years, he added Mr. Matt Cistone on bass guitar. Mr. Matt and Matt Venus actually go way back to the early 90's with different projects and still haven't killed each other as of 2008! On the drums is Craig Null and on lead Vox, Keyboards, Rhythm Gtr., and finally Beer retriever, is the multi-talented Alan Beavers. Together they perform around central Ohio and beyond to large audiences. Their style of instrumental rock, as well as catchy vocal tunes make them a truly original band to check out, especially live.
