This is the page for MC and Producer Amadeus also known as Dayus the Great. This page is primarily for other MC's looking for quality production for their projects (although I'll upload some of my recent recordings every now and then). Why this name?
Back around '98 or '99, I started calling myself Amadeus in the ciphers I'd enter and the name stuck. I used it throughout college (ask folks in the AUC in from '99-2003) and, again, it fit perfectly. 'Dayus' is the shortened name. 'The Great' part? Hey, that's just my confidence speaking up....

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has totally challenged the top-heavy business models that have dominated the music industry for decades. While it has opened countless new doors for independent artists, that still does not equate to high record sales. For an artist like myself, whose looking to build an underground fanbase and sell enough to keep my music projects going, the internet is a perfect stage for my work.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Highly Unlikely to No...
Your influences?
As an MC and a Producer, I have an array of influences. As an MC: Notorious BIG, Scarface, Big Pun, Black Thought, OUTKAST, Ghostface and Rae, the list goes on. As for producers: Primo, DILLA, Organized Noize, Dr. Dre, Just Blaze, Kanye, Legendary Traxster, DJ TOOMP, and the list goes on...
