Do you play live?
We play live mainly in the Netherlands, but are available for gigs in Belgium and Germany too.
Depending on the event, we can play as headliner or as support act. We have good connections with several other bands so we can bring our own support act if necessary if we are to be the headliner.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes.
Band History:
The current line up of Ceremony took shape in October 2008. Mau (guitars) founded the band several years ago and developed his own repertoire of songs. Two years ago Wickie (drums) became the bands solid foundation.
A hot flow of energy was injected one year ago by the arrival of Ryan, the new bass player. The recent addition of female singer Elkie was the icing on the cake one was waiting for. Today Ceremony is at battle strength again!
All band members played in different other groups and projects before where they accumulated a lot of experience. Today those skills are combined into the powerful audiophonic spectacle that is Ceremony in concert.

Your influences?
Ceremony is a modern mix of of rock and new wave, sometimes the rock element is dominant, sometimes it's more wave. By the way, with wave we don't mean the electro-synthipop which harassed the 1980s. Ceremony's music is rooted in the more arty wave with the likes of The Cure, Siouxie & the Banshees. The influence of Killing Joke might be held responsible for the music's hard edge.
Songwriting wise influences come from Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and Rush which also gives the music a more rock atttitude.
